Noticed that Linkedin & Twitter had disconnected leaving only Google+ connected (only had 3 connections).
Tried using the Connect buttons to reconnect but they all opened a new tab with a blank page.
    Tried the following:
    1. Disconnected / reconnected Jetpack
    2. Switched Publicize off & then on again
    3. Disconnected G+ & tried reconnecting >>> blank page
    4. Re-tried numerous times connecting via buttons & also via Publish box option (top RHS) on Post WP page
    No luck whatsoever!
    Site is http://www.zemaitis-uk.com
    Any advice/help is appreciated!

    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately, something seems to be outputting extra content to that file at the moment, blocking all communication between your site and third-party apps and services like WordPress.com.
    http://www.zemaitis-uk.com/wordpress/xmlrpc.php

Here is what you should see on your browser, on a line by itself, with no extra content:

XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only.

    Here is an example:
    https://wordpress.org/xmlrpc.php

Could you try checking your site configuration, and then deactivate each one of your plugins, one at a time, until you find what’s causing the issue?

Once the XML-RPC file seems correct, you can try the following:

    1) Go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
    2) Click on “Disconnect Site from WordPress.com” at the bottom of the page if your site is currently connected to WordPress.com.
    3) Confirm the disconnection.
    4) Click on the Connect button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

Let me know how that goes.

    Hi Jeremy

Many thanks for the prompt response!

Went through all plugins as instructed – fate had a hand in this… it was the last one I tried: WP Fasted Cache.

Disabling WP Fasted Cache got rid of the erroneous content to show just “XML‑RPC server accepts POST requests only”.

Then followed the disconnect/reconnect Jetpack – Publicize is all working correctly.

    Once again, thanks.
