Publicize and shortlinks

I understand that Jetpack has shifted away from using shortcodes in Publicize with the changes at Twitter. That’s great, but on our posts the wp.me url still auto-populates into the Publicize text. Do I have to turn off shortcodes to get rid of that? I’d like the option to use shortcodes so I’d rather not turn them off if I don’t have to. Is there a setting that I’m missing? Thanks!
