Product Attributes in Feed

    Hi. Quick question: It appears that the plugin does not pick up and include in a Google Shopping feed, product attributes that are attached to a variable product, when said attributes are NOT used for variations. Would I be correct in that observation? And what would be the best way to handle such a situation?

    Hi dwight2018,

    You are correct as only simple products and variations are allowed in feeds for Google Shopping and Facebook hardly any attributes or data from the variable product is used for the variations. Only SKU’s and product names from the variable product can be used.

    We currently have no plans to retrieve more variable product attributes.

    Thanks for your response.

    The situation I have is one of variable products with attributes like: Age Group and Gender, which are needed in the feed for my product vertical.

    But these 2 attributed are not used in variations, although they are attached to the relevant products and can show on the singular product page. There is a single value for each attribute. Are you saying that these attributes must be used in the variations to be picked up?
