Problems after update WP

    After latest update I got a problem with expand/collapse command. Before it was easy – to expand click on title, to collapse – click again. Now I should scroll down to find a collapse tag. WTF, WP?
    Also, all your changes in editor interface made it WORSE.
    Before it was easy to copy code and paste it again with changes, now I should DANCE WITH TAMBOURINE around your great editor.
    WTF, WP?

    Which “expand/collapse command” are you referring to? Do you perhaps have a screenshot of what you’re talking about? See: https://wordpress.org/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#adding-screenshots

    No. It`s not solved and could not be solved. Now we are trying to get backup with WP 6. If it will not work – we will change the platform at all.</p> <p>It`s about command [expand title=”БЕЛЫЙ КИТ“]
    Before it worked with one click to expand, again click – collapse.

    Now, when clicked to expand, title disappears, and I need to scroll down to find collapse tag.
    VERY INCONVENIENT TO USE.

    This is a shortcode that is not part of WordPress Core. It is provided by the “Collapse Magic” plugin you are using. If you have any questions about it, I would recommend contacting their support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/collapse-magic/

    Alternatively, you could also use the built-in features in WordPress for expanding and collapsing content. I see that you’re apparently using the Block Editor. It includes the Accordion Block, which can likely achieve the same results as the plugin you’ve been using so far. See: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/accordion-block/

    Hi buhjumfarr,

    I understand this change is frustrating. Both issues can be fixed easily:

    1. Expand/Collapse toggle

    Go to Settings > Collapse Magic and turn ON the “Toggle Above” option.

    After that, the collapse label will appear at the top again, so you can click the title to expand and click it again to collapse, without scrolling down.

    1. Copying and pasting code in the editor

    In the editor, click the three dots menu (⋮) at the top right and select “Code editor” (or press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + M).

    This shows your content as plain code/shortcodes, so you can copy, edit and paste it just like before.

    If you prefer the old editor completely, you can install the “Classic Editor” plugin from Plugins > Add New.
