• Hi,

I am using GeneratePress premium with the free version of Wp Show Posts

The problem I have is with the automatic resize function and auto scaled wordpress images.
When I upload a high resolution image, wordpress scales it down and makes lower res images. However, it also renames the original image by adding -scaled to the name of the image but the rest the resized images don’t have the ‘-scaled’ like so:
    image-scaled.jpg
    image-400×600.jpg
    image-200×200.jpg

Wp Show Posts doesn’t recognized that the original image is renamed, and it makes new resized copies like so
    image-scaled-400×600.jpg
    iamge-scaled-200×200.jpg

The problem is that I use Litespeed cache to make webp versions of the resized images but it doesn’t recognize the new files.

    Here’s a screenshot

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

    Hi there,

Are you using the Image Height and Image width fields on the WPSP settings?

If so, that prevents the use of srcsets WordPress adds. It uses a fixed image site, disregarding all registered images.

This is actually a known issue.

We have an update to attempt to address this but it’s still in alpha version unfortunately. See here: https://wpshowposts.com/wp-show-posts-1-2-0/

Here’s the specific feature I’m pertaining to: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0u9X6q1

It replaces the previous Image height and width settings.

Thanks, the update will solve the issue!

Do you have any idea when it will be officially released?

    Thanks

There’s no set date for the official version but Tom has mentioned about moving from alpha to beta version this March. 🙂

    Thanks
I installed the alpha and the images work fine.
However, I can no longer order the posts by popularity. Is there a reason for that?
    Thanks

That’s strange. It should work fine?

Can you share us how the order is set up?

If it’s setup through the list’s More settings tab, can you recheck the list if its still applied?
