Problem creating front page, need help please

    Hi, I am trying to set up my website and would like a static front page but i want to add a side bar to the right to show latest posts and maybe also latest comments but I cant work out how to do it?!
    is there a tutorial anywhere i can follow? ive tried going to customize and adding a widget but im now even more confused and the right had side of my home page is still blank.

    Nah…no need to feel stupid. As I said, when you are new or a novice to WordPress, there’s many things that are not known from the start, and the more you use WP, the more you discover and learn. But, what is important is that you have things worked out here now 🙂

    As a side note, thanks @softound Solutions for your help in this topic.

    @shaped Pixels can I ask is it possible to change pages to posts or would i have to re-do them?

    You will have to redo them as posts if you want pages to be actual blog posts. For WordPress, you have pages, which are standalone page content. Posts are what goes into a blog.
