pro version not letting me save changes to settings

I just purchased the pro version. deleted the old, uploaded and installed the new. cleared my cache and it still gives me a notice when I click save after editing my settings (which I can now access with the full version). “General Settings are disabled in free version. If you need those functionalityes, you need to buy the commercial version.”
