Whenever I try to add the Prevent PHP Execution security tweak I get an error saying that the .htaccess file is not writable. The permissions are set to 644. What does it need to be in order to apply that fix?

    Hey @rdkcreative,

    Hope you’re well.

Normally 644 is okay for writable files, but sometimes your webserver owner:group should be different and at that case 644 couldn’t be writeable from WordPress. First, you can ask that to your hosting provider about that.

If it does not solve can you try plugin conflict test? You just need to deactivate all other plugins and only try with Defender.

    Cheers,
