Do you offer template tags or shortcodes for positioning?

Looking for code which enables people to hook in the buttons anywhere in a theme or template using WordPress hooks or theme specific hooks.

Does the plugin include any filters etc?

Right now we don’t offer template tags or shortcodes for positioning and the plugin doesn’t include any filters.

It is not possible to control where buttons appear on WordPress post (location on a page) from ShareThis WP plugin. We can provide you the guidelines on how to achieve this using manual installation of ShareThis code. Manual installation can be done after removal of previously installed ShareThis Plugin from WP.
Its a bit tricky procedure.
