Does Pods (Custom Content Types and Fields) work with All In One SEO for meta title and description?

@nekstrebor from what I understand that plugin can be used to, among other things, register custom post types and taxonomies? If so, it should work just fine with AIOSEO. I can’t officially state whether our plugins are compatible with one another since we have not verified this ourselves, but if you find any issues, please bring them to our attention and we’ll get them sorted.

@arnaudbroes I think your statement is only half correct:
AIOSEO does not seem to work with Pods in case custom post types (CPT) and Pods templates are used.

To be more specific: Score is always shown as 0/100 and “Page Analysis” shows warnings like “Please add some content first.”

I guess AIOSEO relies on some WYSIWYG-editor – like Gutenberg – to be used in order to provide analysis and suggestions.
In case of CPT using Pods templates however, there is no such editor. AIOSEO also does not show up in the sidebar. (I guess, this is a different type of sidebar than the one in Gutenberg)

My guess: AIOSEO would need to scan the preview output / the resulting rendered page to determine scores etc.

@doitwithasmile well I didn’t say anything about our TruSEO content analysis; OP only asked about the title/meta description.

We already have an open feature request for adding TruSEO support to PODS and we’ll consider adding this in the future, but right now you are correct that it doesn’t work. We don’t necessarily rely on a WYSIWYG editor but we need to write custom integrations for custom editors. We’ve already done this for popular page builders like Elementor, Divi and SeedProd for example.

Pods template / CPT is not included in the score as said above.

In addition, Pods fields are not recognized when adding custom field tags to meta description / title, both for a single post in the editor and for all posts via menu Search Appearance > Content Types.

In addition, in Dashboard Overview when selecting the Pods CPT in the combo box, it always shows 0 posts.

So AIOSEO is aware that a Pods CPT exists, but other than that appears to be all-around blind to the data in that CPT.
