• Clearly this is very much outside the scope of this plugin currently, and I hear WP3.3 will include Plupload in the core – however it would be great for this plugin if it could work on the front-end and integrate with other plugins such as Contact Form 7 [jquery.form], replacing the file upload component with a Plupload one.

    That’s an interesting idea…

What other usage cases can you think of, where WPlupload on front-end might be useful?

I’d like to throw my vote in for adding a front-end plupload plugin allowing for user submitted posts. In fact, if there’s anyone out there that could integrate plupload into the existing user submitted posts plugin – http://perishablepress.com/user-submitted-posts/ – I’d be quite interested in contributing!

    Sorry for the delay.

There would be quite a number of uses for upload on the front end and compatibility with a form plugin (ie CF7).

    1. CV/Resume) upload for job posts.
    2. Scanned files for proof of identity (needed before getting a job in the UK).
    3. Upload images/photos
    4. Signed / scanned documents

    Cheers
