• Plugin update failed.
An error occurred while updating Jetpack by WordPress.com: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files.

    Please fix!
This has happened for both 4.3 and now 4.3.1.

I fixed 4.3 by downloading the zip file, unzipping it and uploading it via FTP. What’s going on Jetpack??? Why can’t the default WordPress update system that every plugin author uses work for you guys?

    Sorry for all the trouble!

I’m afraid you’ll need to do that again.

This is most likely happening because the Jetpack zip file is larger than most other plugins in the WordPress plugin directory. That zip file is large, and includes a lot of files. This is usually not a problem, but if your server resources are limited, you will indeed experience issues.

I’m afraid that’s the problem on your site right now; some of the files can’t be copied automatically during the update process.

It might be worth getting in touch with your hosting provider, and asking them if they could move you to a more recent server, or up the resources (such as upload_max_filesize,post_max_size,max_execution_time, andmemory_limit`) on your server.

    I hope this helps!
