This is something I need to know as well. Is it blog level with options for sitelevel? (Network Level)?
Or a better question, can it search a CPT? (Custom Post Type?)

Hello,
Currently, you can install the plugin in each sub-blog, but there’s no global search. This is something we’d like to add, but we don’t have a timeline yet. However, if you do want global search, you can work around it by using our web crawler, which supports indexing multiple domains.
As for custom post types, we do support them as of a few months ago.
