  • Hello good sir,

I have noticed that on WP 3.3 RC3 SEO Facebook Comments has privilege issues when activating it on multi site installation. I’ve also tested it with WP Multi Network.

On a mapped domain, I can only Network Activate the plugin. It does not appear in the plugins page. Once Network Activated, when visiting the Dashboard /wp-admin/admin.php?page=fbseocomments I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

When I go back to the plugin Dashboard, SEO Facebook Comments is deactivated. When I reactivate it, I get the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class FacebookApiException in /home/expcloud/public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-facebook-comments/facebook/base_facebook.php on line 107

I cannot figure out why FacebookApiException is redeclared twice. If I check the Network Plugins, it is deactivated. In regular plugins, it is deactivated.

When digging into active plugins, I’ve noticed the user using “Facebook Comments for WordPress” and “Facebook Activity Feed Widget for WordPress.” I haven’t dug into the code yet but after deactivation SEO Facebook Comments activates without issue.

Perhaps FacebookApiException class needs to be renamed to a more unique name?

tl;dr – 1.) redeclare class FacebookApiException conflicting with other Facebook plugins. 2.) Strange WordPress Multi-Site bug, does not appear under plugins until Network Activated. Gives “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page,” once activated. Must be deactivated then activated in site plugins (v.s. Network Activated).

    Hope this helps kind sir.
