    Dear Support-Team,

do you also develop a AMP-compatible version?
At the moment your generated maps doesn’t work for AMP.

    Thank you very much
    Madeleine

  • Hi Madeleine

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The plugin will work with AMP if used on a ‘Post’. Unfortunately AMP doesn’t support shortcodes that load their scripts conditionally on anything except the ‘post’ type at this point in time, as a result of this, maps won’t work with AMP on pages until the developers of the plugin introduce this functionality.

My apologies for the inconvenience caused by this.

    Hi Jarryd,

    thank you for your response.
We use the maps on only on “Posts”, but we implemented them with a shortcode.
    Example: https://www.billiger-mietwagen.de/reisewelt/roadtrips/mietwagen-ab-hafen/livorno.html/amp

Do you think the developers will take a look at this problem? (When?)

    Thanks!
    Madeleine

    Hi Madeleine

Please try deactivating the Pro version and let me know if the Basic version’s map displays as expected on that post? We load our scripts differently between the two plugins so I’d just like to confirm if that makes a difference 🙂

    Hi Jarryd,

the maps are not visible with both plugins. When i deactivate the Pro Plugin you can’t see the google map as well.

So it might be a problem in the basic version.

    Hi Madeleine

Please advise what versions of the plugin you currently have installed?

    Hi,

it’s version Version 6.4.02 (WP Google Maps) and Version 5.73 (WP Google Maps – Pro Add-on).

    Hi Madeleine

Please get in touch with us on https://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/ so that we can assist you further in looking into why the Pro version doesn’t display the map in posts using AMP.
