[Plugin: MP3-jPlayer] Limited functionality on iPad2, iOS 5.01

I tested this plugin on an iPad 2 (32 GB, Wi-Fi only), iOS 5.01, in Mobile Safari, using the ‘dark’ color scheme.
The play/pause button worked, and files played.
However, other features behaved erratically:
Sometimes the ‘current time’ readout didn’t work.
Sometimes the ‘total time’ readout didn’t appear at all, or stayed at 0:00
Sometimes the loading and playback progress bars don’t appear.
Volume slider was almost impossible to move – sometimes it would respond to taps, but it could not be dragged.
A colleague noticed these behaviors on an iPhone, and also found them unpredictable. (not sure which model/OS – but I think it’s an iPhone 4)
Has anyone else had these issues?
