Love Jetpack overall, but it would be nice if there was a bit more flexibility in the way we’re allowed to interact with it.

For example, I’d love to be able to send someone to a direct link to sign up for our mailing list. Preferably on my own site, but really, anything works as long as I can link to it.

For that matter, I may not necessarily want to create an entire widget area for one subscription form, so it would be nice to have some template tags for just dropping a form where we need it to go.

I totally agree. I’d also love to have some sort of shortcode or code (like they provide from Feedburner) to embed anywhere in the theme. Adding a subscription box below the post in single.php helps get more subscribers. But with JetPack, that doesn’t seem possible.

I hope this will be considered with high priority by JetPack team.

Thanks for the feedback. This is on our development list, though we do not have an ETA on when we might make an update on it.
