[Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com] Feature request: use display urls in Twitter widget
-
The Twitter widget seems to print t.co URLs directly, rendering some tweets particularly hard to understand. Twitter’s API sends some really useful data here in the “entities” object attached to each tweet, including the display URL for each link. So, instead of http://t.co/MEvPw3ws you can show Cubeecraft.com as it was written by the person who wrote the tweet.
It isn’t hard to support, it lets you remove any kind of URL / pattern matching (if you’re using any), and it would be very excellent 🙂
