When i deactivate Jetpack it messes up my whole site so i had to reactivate it.

I only want to use some of the standalone plugin modules.

I don’t want to disable any modules.

I want to delete Jetpack entirely and install some of the stand alone modules without connecting to WordPress.com

You can deactivate and remove Jetpack. However, most of the modules (like Stats) that were once available in a standalone format are no longer being updated separately. New modules (like Jetpack Comments and Carousel) are only available in Jetpack.

What is getting messed up when you deactivate Jetpack?

Worked this out now.

Had added some php to display sharedaddy above posts which i needed to remove so problem solved.
