Do you have a Genesis child theme active?
The plugin requires Genesis to work.
I dont mind that the plugin requires Genesis to work. IT CRASHES entire website if Genesis is not active, thats the problem.
Remove the plugin using FTP or your web account control panel.
LOL, thanks. I did that even before I posted the message here. I wasn’t waiting around for support, but thanks. 🙂
Ron,
The 2.1 version of the plugin is breaking our sites as well
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_html5() in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/genesis-simple-edits/plugin.php on line 102, referer: https://our.site.com/wp-admin/network/sites.php
I run a large multisite installation, some sites use genesis, some don’t. This plugin isn’t activated by default yet it’s breaking the admin panels on even default WP themes.

If it’s not active on those sites (ie. being loaded by WP) how could it possibly break the sites?
Check to see if you have 2 copies of it installed and one of them is network activated.
Ron,
Looks like it’s not causing the issue on non-genesis sites. Not sure why it was acting weird before.
It is breaking the admin panels on genesis sites that have it enabled, however (which I noticed there’s already a different discussion thread about that).
