OK, after playing around a bit, the following seems to work in the custom menu:
URL: http://#
Label: Contact Me
CSS Class: class eModal eModal-2
Hopefully this is helpful for more people
I still can’t figure out how you did this or what these means. I am needing my modal to open when someone clicks on a menu in my menu bar. But I can’t figure out how you did it.
Could you please explain?
Hi, in the custom menu item which you want to link to your modal form, put the parameters shown in my previous post
Hey there.. Well I have tried that but I do not see an option for CSS Class:
And instead of label it says Title.
Hi, maybe it’s a version thing – I am on WP 3.4.1
Hi cblossants@gmail.com,
I have the same problem as Setho. I am on WP 3.4.2. Have you an addition plugin which transforms the custom menu? maybe your theme?
Thanks for your answer
Hi, on the menu page make sure that you choose to show CSS classes from the screen options at the top – hope this helps
Sorry for the delay. But cblossants is correct. On the menu editor there is a screen options button near top right. Click that and check css classes box to add that field to the menu editor. Then add the emodal classes needed.
Hi, I wonder if I can get some help.
I am also trying to have eModal load a form of mine from my custom menu. I have been able to load eModals from within pages and I understand what cblossants@gmail.com has said and how it should work etc, but clicking on my menu item will attempt to direct me to the link (http://# – can be found at http://www.52plusyou.co.uk under menu item TEST) not load as a modal.
Any ideas on help?
Thanks in advance
The link you provided doesnt seem to have a menu.
Check the source of the page when menu is visible, does the item you want have the eModal class there?
Hi danieliser and thank you for checking and replying.
After posting this I discovered that there was a virus, within my site so had to restart it all, so currently have no menu no. I will attempt again soon and reply once I have done.
