Plugin doesn't detect first image within posts

Hello,
I just tested this plugin out on a few posts to see if I could set the first image of an old post as its featured image, but the plugin didn’t detect any images and made no changes. I have thousands of old posts that each has no set featured image but has images within them. Can someone help me with that?
