    Hello!!

I am thinking about buying the premium version of this plugin. I have been trying the free version to see if it will run smoothly with my setup.

I have run across an issue which is peeving me a bit. The Stripe Google/Apple Pay button won’t show up on the product page when the plugin is activated. This is the case even if no field group is being applied to the product. Could I have some assistance with this?

I understand that this might be an issue for the Stripe WooCommerce support team but I thought I would try here first.

    Thank you for your help.

I’m guessing that Stripe can’t pick up custom pricing…?

    If not that’s a bummer.

    Hi @xabster

Sadly, this issue is with the Stripe plugin. They don’t allow additional pricing fields to be added, resulting in a number of plugins that can’t work with it. There is a ticket open for this on the WooCommerce ideas board. Best is to upvote it there so the authors know this is a pressing issue: https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce/suggestions/34518661-apple-pay-payment-request-to-support-custom-field

It’s currently the number 1 issue for the Stripe plugin so hopefully they tackle it soon.

    I have upvoted the issue.

Why does it work on the cart page?

The cart page is standard WooCommerce. The buttons added by the Stripe plugin to pay directly (like apple pay) work differently and are only controlled by that plugin – not by WooCommerce.

In this specific case, the authors didn’t provide a way for 3rd party plugins like ours to hook into their code and write integrations.

You can read a conversation I had with WooCommerce about it here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-working-with-customisable-products-with-the-single-item-buy-now-button/

You can always open a new ticket on their support forum, reference the one above and ask what the status is.

They didn’t provide that GitHub link in the end, hey?

Indeed. To be fair, they first asked the OP to log an issue on GitHub, but he didn’t do it either :).

In any case, if this issue is important to you, it might be good to open a new support ticket on the Stripe plugin’s WordPress support forum and reference the previous communication about it. Perhaps it gets picked up again.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much more I can do as the issue of allowing integrations is entirely with the Stripe plugin.

Sorry I can’t be of more help!
