Hi, I am trying to get my pinterest connect, but I always receive the message:
“Access failed. Check login data for typos and Pinterest configuration errors, if two-factor authentication is disabled for this account: https://www.pinterest.com/settings/security/”

    Everything I already tried:
    – Logged-out from all pc/mobile and deleted cache
    – Two factor authentication is off
    – I can log in with user/pass in a incognito window
    – Already created board and pinned something
    – Tried from other pc, in a incognito window
    – Tried on Chrome OS, Chrome Windows and Microsoft Edge.
    – Troubleshoot and specifications OK
    – Facebook and Instagram already connected and working!
    – Uninstalled the plug-in and installed again. (FB and Insta maintained their connections even when i resintalled. Didnt needed to type pass and user again for them. It makes me think something is stuck in the pinterest connection and I cant change even if I reinstall the plug-in..

I’ll be very happy to use this plugin because I already have Fb and Insta working, but I really need pinterest more than the other two.

    Can you guys help me?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

May I ask you if it’s possible that you created your Pinterest account with your Facebook login credentials?
Please try to login with your Pinterest email and password only.

Did you already try to connect via Blog2Social browser extension?
If you, for example, type in a wrong password once a new pop-up window will open which guides you to the Blog2Social browser extension for Chrome or Firefox.

Please let me know if it works for you afterwards or if you have further questions.

Hi! Thank you for the quick support.

I tried to connect with the Blog2Social browser extension, but it dont show pinterest options, only other social medias (fb, twitter, linkedin and wordpress).

I created the account with Google Login Credentials but already disconnected the account from google and changed password.

Created a new account now without credentials but it dont work too. Tried to connect to my main personal account and it shows the same problem.

    Can you guys help me?
    Thank you!

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.

When connecting Pinterest with the Blog2Social browser extension there’s no need to select a specific network.

Please be so kind as to follow these steps:
    1) install the browser extension for your preferred browser (Chrome or Firefox)
    2) make sure that your Pinterest account has at least one pinboard on which a picture has already been pinned
    3) enter your Pinterest login credentials in the Blog2Social networks overview (make sure to log in with your Pinterest email and password)
    4) If you cannot connect a new window will pop-up to use the Blog2Social browser extension, please click on “Sign in to Pinterest” and continue your login process

Please let me know if it works for you afterwards.
