Hi, I am getting errors when I try to set-up product feed for pinterest catalogs. Specifically:

    Error
    107

Some items are missing a description in product metadata, so those items will not be published
Enter description values for all items or delete items that are missing description values before your next update
    4

    Error
    113

Some items have price value formatting errors in product metadata, so those items will not be published
Enter price values for all items or delete items that are missing price values before your next update. Formatting should follow the standard ISO-4217 code for your currency. Example: ‘1.00USD’ or ‘1.00 USD’.
    56

    Alert
    157

Some google_product_category values are missing, which may limit visibility in recommendations, search results and shopping experiences
Check your google_product_category values and make sure they are formatted with values from the EN-US GPC taxonomy for any items with associated google_product_category values before your next update`

There doesn’t seem to be any documentation by adtribes that addresses pinterest specifically from what I can see so I have followed broadly the google ads set up and cross checked with pinterest documentation. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Some of the Pinterest notifications are straighforward it seems.

    • Some of your products do not have a product description in the feed, most likely that is because the products doesn’t have a description either on your website/product edit page? Make sure all your products have such a description
    • Similar for some of the category mappings that are missing for (some) products. Make sure to map all your WooCommerce categories to those of Google (Pinterest is using the Google category taxonomy) using the category mapping feature of our plugin
    • With regards to the price issue. My guess is that you have put the currency (such as USD, EUR) in front of the number whereas it needs to be behind it. In order to know for sure we would have to check your product feed itself so could you share the URL with us?

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved or our support is no longer required I am going to close this topic for housekeeping reasons now. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support-team again whenever you need our help.
