PHP Deprecated block_categories

    [14-Nov-2021 10:03:43 UTC] PHP Deprecated: block_categories is deprecated since version 5.8.0! Use block_categories_all instead. in /home/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5586

    This shows when you try to edit a page and save.

    So it is NOT tested and compatible with 5.8.x as mentioned in the front page.

    Hmm – we run this plugin on over 100 clients sites and have not seen that issue. Will try and recreate your error message. How do I do recreate that error message? I don’t see it from dev tools on the frontend.

    Are you using a plugin that is showing that, I mean I have test with Query Monitor and it is not showing it as a PHP error ?

    What version of WordPress and PHP is your site running on?

    Wordpress 5.8.x and PHP 8 but i mentioned all this in my post.

    Happens when editing a post and save.

    And this is logged in DEBUG LOG. I manually changed your code from block_categories to block_categories_all and all ok.

    Please upgrade to new maintenance version 2.4.13 – it has the fix for this issue.
