PayPal plugin shows failed payment

The “PayPal & Stripe Payments” page in the Dashboard shows three transactions with “Payment status” of “Failed” yet PayPal shows a payment. In other words, the payment did not fail yet the app says it did.

Is this a bug or a configuration error?

This is typically caused when PayPal is unable to communicate back with your website to update your website that the payment was successful. Have you configured your PayPal Instant Payment Notifications? https://wpplugin.org/documentation/setting-up-ipn-notifications-on-paypal/

no, didn’t know to do that.

First, your referenced page is out of date. Here’s the info from PayPal – had to do some searching to find that.

Second, what is the listener’s URL?

it is included to a response in the thread

it is your site’s URL and if you have WP in a different directory, then add the directory

example: site.com or site.com/wp/

@collinsasse I want to know if I can be able to check the Contact Form details that are filled while the transaction? I have a Cricket Team registration website connected Paypal & Stripe Payments with the CF7. I want to get the information with every successful payment.

@berry2710 Our plugin is only a payment processing addon for Contact Form 7. You’ll need to use Contact Form 7 to capture the form details: https://contactform7.com/faq/can-i-see-the-messages-submitted-through-the-contact-form/
