Open submenu on parent click problem

With open submenu on parent click enabled it’s quite random whether pressing on the arrow opens the sub-menu or opens the page. I’m sure it didn’t used to be so sensitive.
Can this be adjusted so that tapping near the arrow just opens the sub-menu?
