Are you saying you want Breadcrumb NavXT to generate a breadcrumb trail that reflects the organization of content in your menu? If so, you may be interested in Breadcrumb NavXT Menu Magic. However, I recommend you first try establishing parent and child relationships for your pages (set page parents for pages that are children of other pages).
Thanks for the reply. I can only get it to show the home page and the page I’m on, not some other pages it’s been through to get there. My website is http://www.mrsaxbysredapple.co.uk if you wanted to have a little look and see. I will try the menu magic, is that a plugin?
Taking a look at that site, to get the desired breadcrumb trail, you need to organize your content. For example, since you are using the page post type: the ‘argument’ page should have ‘writing’ as its parent, ‘writing’ page should have ‘educational games’ as its parent, and ‘educational games’ page should have ‘kids’ as its parent.
Lastly, it appears something is wrong with your Breadcrumb NavXT settings. I suggest resetting them:
- In the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page, click on the ‘Help’ tab in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- In the dropdown, click on the Import/Export/Reset link in the side menu
- In the Import/Export/Reset view, press the Reset button
