Notification: "Plugin not active", but plugin is removed?

Like others, BWP stopped working with Contact Form 7. So I removed it and went with another option and updated my one form.
In my admin section I now have a banner:

It says “You are using Contact Form 7 Better WordPress reCAPTCHA Extension. This works with the Better WordPress reCAPTCHA plugin, but the Better WordPress reCAPTCHA plugin is not activated. — WP-reCAPTCHA http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bwp-recaptcha/”
I had disabled the plugin before removing it. Any ideas why there would be this remaining, and how to remove it?
