Not work v2.80
-
Hi.
After upgrading WordPress plugin comments v2.80. stopped check on my two sites, reset and reinstall did not help. What the heck do you offer this raw shit? I went back to the previous working version.

Same here…
- https://wordpress.org/plugins/disqus-comment-system/developers/
- download previous version
- renamed wp-content/disqus-comment-system to wp-content-disqus-comment-system.2.8.0
- uploaded previous version
Disqus is up and running again.
Same here, comments do not work at all with the new version. Reverted back to previous version.
We’ve seen a couple of reports, and one thing I noticed is that all external .js and .css files are being read from a CDN. One thing this update did was move the javascript to separate files, so it’s likely those files aren’t on the CDN yet.
Does this sound consistent with what you’ve been seeing?
On my test site, the new version 2.80 to work. Why is an error, all right?

That error is coming from a file the embed script loads, so it wouldn’t be an issue with the plugin itself. A better place to report that would be here: https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/topics/629071-community-q-a/questions
Same here. Not working after update. Thanks for taking two hours of my morning. Went back to previous version.
See question above – do you have any caching plugins enabled? From what we’re seeing it looks like they aren’t aware of the new files in the plugin yet, so they aren’t being served.
On my projects is still not working v2.80, cache deleted. https://utema.ru/woocommerce-russkij-plagin-internet-magazina-na-wordpress/
Understand. Js disqus WP Minify been compressed work incorrectly comments. I would like to combine all the scripts into one, have any ideas on this?
http://i.imgur.com/zK2yPvq.pngThe plugin does pass page-specific variables to this js file, and it would be best to exclude it from the cache, or make sure each instance is cached per-page.
after update I have a gray space across at the top of my site about 10px high, was not there before this last 2.80 update.
Same problems here – comments do not display at all. I’ve emptied the cache and purged the CDN but it makes no difference.
I’ll check to see if files are being minified.
Wouldn’t it have been possible to foresee these problems? Presumably the changes were important enough to justify causing these conflicts but users should have been warned before updating.
Excluding disqus.js from the Minify Fix plugin has worked.
I’m reluctant to say thank you – perhaps if the advice had been clearer and up-front?
Hi, I updated to 2.8 and now Disqus is not working. It is enabled, activated, etc. I read the comments above, but I am not a professional web developer by any means and am having a hard time understanding what to do to fix this?
“it would be best to exclude it from the cache, or make sure each instance is cached per-page.”
What does this mean + how do I do that? Please help! Thank you.

I also tried to download the previous version, as @hans2103 recommended, but I could not locate the ‘wp-content/disqus-comment-system’ file within the zipped file to rename / upload it to my site.
Any help is very much appreciated!
Hi belongwithwildflowers. Part of your bottom part does not run, it may be sledsvie errors php function. If everything was fine before the update, uninstall the new version and install previous version Disqus. Download https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/disqus-comment-system.2.77.zip
