    Hi Chris,

I want to check something befoe I put my site live. I have had to copy all old testimonials across to my new site, and as such always entered our shop email address for each testimonial, to speed up the entry process.

Can you pelase confirm that email addresses will not be displayed anywhere (in search engines and on page source code) if I use your additional “markup” paid for plugin (which shows the ratings and reviews in search engines)?

It would not be good if on all our testimonials our email address appeared. Basically checking that if the email addresses are not displayed on the front end testimonial list, they are not displayed in search engines or hidden in page source.

    Thanks again

Email addresses are not included anywhere in the front end by the plugin or any add-on.

Clarification: Fields of type “email” are not included anywhere but the plugin does not scan other fields for email addresses. So if the testimonial content or a text field contains an email address, intentionally or not, the plugin will print it. You have to police your own content.

    Thanks for the Sunday reply!

What I was cheacking is if someone enters their email address in the “email address” field, that it will not be displayed anywhere front-end (or in SERPS) if I use your markup addon. Of course this is based on me not publishing the email address field front end.

    Hope that makes sense.

That is how I understood your question and attempted to answer.

    See for yourself:

Inspect the source code and look for “@strongplugins.com”.

Validate the review markup and examine each review item.

The email field cannot be published by the plugin. Is that clear?

Thank you. All understood. Sometimes better checking twice to be sure 🙂

Of course. It’s a valid concern.
