• Jetpack sounds great from the title –> security, backups, speed, and growth all in one plugin – but in my experience, it has been one of the worst plugins to use on a WordPress website.

I faced multiple issues after using it, including website breakage, slower performance, and compatibility conflicts, especially with Elementor and other plugins.

For a plugin with such a large user base, I expected much better stability and compatibility. There are also many negative reviews reporting similar problems, yet these issues seem to continue across updates.

A plugin that promises speed and security should not create additional performance problems or conflicts with popular WordPress tools.

I would strongly recommend taking a full backup before installing Jetpack on any production website.

Based on my experience: not recommended at all. I would avoid using Jetpack on client or production websites.

    Hi @make-carlos,

Thank you for writing this up. You’re right that conflicts with page builders like Elementor come up more than we’d like. Jetpack is a big surface area: backups, security, stats, dozens of individual modules, and that means it touches more of a site than a lightweight plugin would. Most of the conflicts we see aren’t a single universal bug, but a specific combination of modules, theme, and other plugins.

If anyone’s hitting something similar, the fastest way to narrow it down: go to Jetpack → Settings and turn off modules you’re not actively using, or for the full list, including a few not shown there, /wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules. Toggling modules off one by one alongside checking your browser console / PHP error log at the moment things break almost always points to the exact module and plugin involved.

If you’re open to sharing that (or a site URL) via email, we’ll take a real look. Appreciate the honest review, it’s the kind of detail that actually helps us fix things.

    Best regards,
    Alin
