G’day Robin,
Could you please export your form from Gravity Forms admin and send to me via my support email? You can get the email address from my contact page.
Gravity Forms > Import/Export > Export Forms
cheers,
Ross
Hi Ross,
I sent an export of my form that isn’t working to your support email address twice.
Did you receive them?
If not should I post the export here?
Cheers
Robin
G’day Robin,
Sorry for the delayed response. We had a big storm here and lost power for most of the week, and got a lovely cleanup job into the bargain! But we’re back now.
I got your emails, just working my way through my support queue still. You’re up next. As you can imagine, I’ve had to prioritise paid work above support problems for free plugins, especially with a lost work week — got to pay the bills somehow.
cheers,
Ross
[trading empty tea cup for mug of cider, maybe that’ll help me work faster!]
Thanks for the reply Ross.
Good luck with the clean up.
Also I’d be happy to make a $20 donation when we’re up and running.
Cheers
Robin
G’day Robin,
I reckon the problem is your User ID + User Key in the settings. Unfortunately, you’ve also stumbled upon a bug in the plugin, because your form has a redirect for its confirmation page and that’s taking precedence over the error message — what dodgy coder wrote this cr– uh, that’s me. 🙁
Please try this development version which fixes the bug. It should confirm that your User ID + User Key combination is not correct, or perhaps your account configuration with DPS has a problem.

Thanks for your patience!

I have installed the dev version but no luck I’m afraid, see: http://www.amalgamatehawkesbay.co.nz/test-form/
there are two forms, the first one is the one I exported to you the second it a simple test form that doesn’t use ajax or redirect.
neither work.
I added the userid and key again but no luck.
Cheers

G’day Robin,
Bugger. I notice you said that you’ve set a Redirect URL for the feed (which is where to send the browser on failure). Is that where the browser goes, or does it go to the normal confirmation page?
If you haven’t already, please download / install / activate the Gravity Forms Logging Tool. It’s at the bottom of the download page:
http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/
Then enable logging for DPS PxPay
Gravity Forms > Settings > Logging
After running through a transaction, see what is reported in the log. You can pass me a link to the log through my support form.
cheers,
Ross
Got the logging installed and sent the output and link to you via your contact form.
Thanks
Robin
Hi Ross,
I just called Payment Express to see if they could see any requests to there server and they said it was a key error.
Oddly the key they had stored was different to the one they emailed out.
They changed their key to the one they sent out and it’s working fine now.
Thank you for all your help, I’ll make a donation shortly.
Regard
Robin
G’day Robin,
Thanks for the donation, much appreciated!
Strange that there was a key error and yet there was no error logged about a key error. I had added two new logging statements specifically to catch a failed request and neither showed up in the logs.
I’m glad you got it sorted with DPS. They’ve done this before, at least two other people have reported the same problem. Sounds like they have a problem there somewhere!
I suggest that you now disable logging on DPS PxPay, deactivate the Gravity Forms Logging Tool, and delete that log file (that you linked to) via FTP.
cheers,
Ross
Thanks again Ross, your support has been first class.
