I installed setup and activated a popup but can’t get it to actually pop up. I thought it might be having a conflict with the chat popup we use so I disabled that but still no popup. I don’t see an issue with the jquery verion either as appeared to be the case in a few other comments. I have the popup set to use external load so not sure if there could be a footer call issue like in one comment. I’m not sure I know how to resolve that if it is the issue.

    The site is http://www.roselawgroupreporter.com.

Any help is appreciated – thanks!

Sorry, I couldn’t figure it out but needed to get something in place so I installed ITRO Popup. I’d like to go back to WordPress PopUp but you won’t see it on the site. If there are some other typical troubleshooting solutions I’m happy to try them and switch back. Thanks.

    Hello there @nlabadie,
I just visited your site and noticed that your theme is using jQuery version 1.5.1, which is pretty old…
Could you please update that and try again? It might be the cause of your issue…

    Cheers,
    Ari.

I’ve been looking for a good way to update that but haven’t found one. I see many pathwork ways but just as many people saying that’s risky. Thoughts?

I used the jQuery Updater plugin and still don’t see the popup…

Had to uninstall that plugin because of conflicts and issues. Not sure how else to safely update the jQuery version…

    Hi @nlabadie

Chances are that the theme will control this. Try looking in the functions.php and header.php of your theme files.

    Hey there.

We haven’t heard from you in awhile, so I just wanted to check in to make sure all was good.

This thread was marked resolved, but please, if you still need help then just respond and open it back up. We can then take it from there. 🙂

Hope you have a fantastic day!

It wasn’t actually resolved. In the 2 weeks between my comment and the response I just gave up on the plugin and used one that was more compatible with my theme.

Well I’m glad you have a solution at least, if you ever decide to use PopUp again please post again and we’ll do what we can to help.
