Hi there
Please could you right click anywhere on that page, then click on “inspect element”, then navigate to the “console” tab and copy and paste what you see in there please?
Kind regards
Nick
I’m having the same issue and it’s happening in multiple sites. Here’s what’s in the console:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
***mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/1markers.xml?u=2695
Following up on previous post, I also just realized that the map box which used to be below each page in the visual editor is now not present. I have disabled all other plugins but this one and the issue persists.
Hi Nathan
Are you perhaps using a caching plugin? If yes, you will need to add “wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/” to your “exclude paths” within the CDN settings area of the plugin. Does this help?
Kind regards
Nick
I am having this same issue. I am using Quick Cache, but have cleared the cache and de-activated the plugin and still no luck. I am on a multi-site install, if that makes a difference.
Here is the error I get my my developer console:
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://mysite.com/mysubsite/wp-content/uploads/sites/65/wp-google-maps/65-2markers.xml?u=3356. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.mysubsite.com' is therefore not allowed access.
This seems to of occurred due to the latest update, or one of the latest. I don’t recall if the update was to the base plugin or the Pro add-on, though.
Also, I am using “WordPress MU Domain Mapping” with my multisite install.
Sorry, I moved on to another plugin, when the fundamental element did not work.

No, there is no caching plugin installed for me. Also, as mentioned, I’ve disabled all plugins and the issue persists.
Metaphorcreations, you have a CDN issue where the plugin is trying to access the marker’s XML file from another location (your CDN). I had a look at Quick Cache and didnt notice and CDN options. Are you perhaps not using any other caching plugin or “CDN” plugin?
Nathan, you mention the following:
I also just realized that the map box which used to be below each page in the visual editor is now not present
Our plugin does not have any map functionality that appears on the admin page visual editor section? Our maps are created via “Maps” in the left navigation.
We’ve recently put in some more checks for the marker files on install along with some handy notifications. If all else fails, please review http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/my-markers-are-not-showing-on-my-map/
Kind regards
Nick
caching plugin deactivated. but marker is not visible on map
Hi
Please go to maps->settings and take a screen shot of the “advanced options” section.
Do you see any errors there?
