I see… I wanted group administrators to send mails to group members, when needed.
I will try and get this in the next update. What will happen is it will detect if PMs are enabled, and if they are will do the same as the above. If they are disabled then it will remove the “Send as a single thread button” because your users probably value their email privacy and instead send out emails.
Does that sound good?
The only problem, is where to show this menu? What seems like the most likely place for this? In the root of a users profile? So…

just wanted for admins to be able to send mail announcements to their groups, groups have already validated users, so no problem to send them mail from admin.
I thought if you add such option to bp particular group admin screen, would be a best place. But do what’s easier 🙂
There is another plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-group-email-subscription/ that seems to have it, but it looks not supported much anymore, so I thought your plugin could fit too.
First, +1 for admin(/or other) to mail to group members ESPECIALLY if tied in to the concept I mentioned of allowing custom user roles access.
I’ve been looking for a couple months for a plugin that will do the mass email to all/selected users from within the BP groups structure, and while I’ve come across a couple that I am testing, nothing really seems the natural fit like yours would be here.
Options to send the users 1) a PM, or 2) an email, or 3) both. We’re looking at it as a breaking alert type of option for within neighborhood based BP groups.

I’m not sure to be honest, not used translations before. All the strings are “translatable” I think I just have to map them out in a file. I’ll look into it.

i like your plugin so much. im using it. but are you able to add another feature. is it possible to add a feature that counts how many time the message was viewed by the receivers? what i mean is if your sent it to the 5 recipients then that count must be 5 aslo. like Views: 5 times. something like that. 🙂
