The latest update is kind of frustrating.
Now who operates more pages have to inspect all of them and re-set all the margins again. It’s really time consuming.
I can understand new feauture is useful but the design shouldn’t be changed when new things are added.
I’m hoping you can fix that in the next update!

  • Plus, the mobile botton margin does not work well.
Not two blocks are too close together by default. If I set Mobile Bottom Margin to 50px they look OK but now there is too much space at the bottom of both blocks.

    Hi Rico

Sorry for the hassle. Please, can you confirm that you’ve updated to 2.10.8? You shouldn’t have to redo settings, that’s been resolved.

Currently, there is an open issue with cell bottom margins. We’ll resolve that in an update shortly.

For a bit more detail. Here is what sounds like the initial issue you’ve described: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/issues/691. That’s been resolved in the current version.

Here is the cell bottom margin issue: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/issues/693. It’s resolved in the development version of Page Builder, we’ll push that fix in a few moments. Once that’s out, everything should be as it was.

    Hi Andrew.
Hmm, I’m developing a site and it offered me 2.10.9.
The other site where I noticed the margin issues is still on 2.10.8. and an update is not proposed.

    Hi Rico

    Thanks for the update.

We just released 2.10.9. That should resolve all issues relating to this new setting. It can take a little while for the update to be available everywhere.

    Hi,
    OK, I updated to 2.10.9.
Now the situation is even worse then with the old 2.10.7.
Some blocks are now even closer together so the text from the bottom block gets over the text from upper one.

Please, send a link to the page concerned and let us know which row and cells to check at which resolutions. Thanks.

    Sure.

    Thanks

In the row above, you’ve set a bottom margin of -20px.

Yes, but that was there from the start. And this what you can see on the picture is far more than 20 px, no?

    Plugin Author Andrew Misplon

    (@misplon)

    Correction, in the cell above.

I can’t say immediately what’s changed but if you remove that -20px, everything is normal.

    Yes, it is normal now.
But I’m afraid to update on other pages because something has obviously changed.

Ups, it isn’t ok. See the white space between light grey and dark grey rows. That wasn’t there before as well …

    Plugin Author Andrew Misplon

    (@misplon)

To remove the white space, please, edit the row in question, click Layout on the right, check the Row Bottom Margin setting. It appears to be set to 30, try setting it to 0.

    I know all that.
But that obviously points out that many things have changed with new version. Should I now modify all my 15 pages because of that? 🙁
