Hi Andrew,
Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.
This will continue to work, you just need to ensure that when transferring the WordPress site to this domain that you rewrite all instances of the old URL in the database to the new URL.
I hope this helps.
Thanks Andrew
When you say rewrite all instances in the database that’s a bit technical for me. If I just go through the plugin and make sure all of references to the domain are correct will that achieve the same end. Also do you know if I will I need to get a new API for PMP from my merchant account with Braintree ?
You may need to update your IPN with the new URL for Braintree.
I’m not sure the process of your move but if you move a WordPress website to a new domain you usually need to ensure all links in the database that point to URL A are changed to point to URL B.
If you are using a plugin to handle this for you, it should be done for you automatically. 🙂
Thanks again Andrew
Sorry, but what is an IPN
I’m not sure I understand your advice and the only plugin I was referring to was the Paid Memberships Pro plugin. Is that what you are referring to or are you referring to a migration plugin. I dont need a migration plugin, a duplicate account was created and the domain was changed. So everything in this website is under the new domain. The old domain is redirecting to the new domain. Does that make sense or do you think I need to ask my host if all of the links from the old domain are pointing to the new domain ?
Thanks again for your patience
Kind regards
Andrew
Paid Memberships Pro should work on the new domain. I don’t think you would need to adjust anything inside WordPress itself – keep an eye out and let us know if anything isn’t working as intended.
You can double check your recurring payments are working correctly once you e moved to the new domain.
