• Hello,
I’m using file away with the w-office theme.
Is there a way with FILE AWAY to get all folder directory’s showing?

Currently when you use the File Manager (File Away), you can only select one directory. In the demo of w-office, demo-files is selected. But is there a way we can see all three main folders and then just click on the one we want to go into?

This applies to both the directory view, and the file upload view. Only one directory can be shown.

What I want to see, is the typical all head-folders viewable, and then to click on each one individually to see the contents.

    Hopefully this makes sense!

    Thank you!

Where do I find my shortcode?
I currently just go to “content elements” in my default editor on the page and select “file manager (file away)” then at this point I can only select 1 directory…

I can’t provide support for File Away when it’s integrated into the theme. I don’t know how they integrate it or which options they provide you. You can ask the theme how to add directories tree nav to the shortcode using their system, or you can ask them how to access the default File Away shortcode generator. Worst case scenario, there are tutorials on the Tutorials tab of the File Away settings page that tells you all the shortcodes and all their attributes and available options.

Hello, I have worked this out… Just had to go to Uploads file in Filezilla and create subdirectories.
    My problem now is that:
    1) When I’m on the site and want to upload a file, I’m only given the option of the parent directory, when I want to put it in the sub-directory.
    2) Is there a way to edit a word document, and upload it back to the folder online? That way, if it’s a regularly changing document, it can easily be updated. Because a user cannot delete the document, they can download it and upload it again, but would be good to be able to replace the current doc. Does that make sense?
    Thank you!!! Renee
