Since this is a commercial plugin, I would recommend asking in the developer’s support forum, as they would be more likely to see your question there.

please use the current MultilingualPress download from wordpress.org, because we merged the PRO and Free version last year (https://marketpress.com/2015/multilingual-wordpress-free/). If you Behavior still exists after that contact us at the WordPress.org support forum (https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/multilingual-press).
Note: We still sell priority support at MarketPress, but the plugin is only at wordpress.org.
