litterstars, with this script, it’s best done on a new install.
I did find an alternate on the php-princess board, which seems a lot more intuitive. It wipes out your b2 database, so beware. It uses the mt export file.

oh ok. anyway, my problem is I currently have 3 different blogs on my server, which is eating up a lot of space…
most of my entries is in the movable type blog, which I’m trying to merge together with a b2 blog, which contained some entries.
Let’s say, using the method above, I will get a wp blog with my movable type + b2 entries together right? I could do this using a fresh install.
If I were to do that, I’ll now have 2 wp blogs.
How do I merge these 2 blogs together? Is it possible? Do I simply merge the databases?
Please advise (and help)! 🙂
For anyone interested, who might want to use the first script (and not the second one which uses the MT Export file), I’ve modified the first script so that it doesn’t lose categories (important for me, since I had several hundred entries), the passwords are reset for users, all users are set to admin, and it doesn’t wipe out apostrophes. My entry describing my changes is here:

Will it be able to do only one of several blogs running in MT? I’m an author on a blog that I’d like to see shift to WP but it also is the owners personal blog on MT. I’m wondering if we could leave him with MT and use WP for our purpose?

“It will be in the next release.” is dated from Jul 29. I just found out about WP and I’m assuming the 1.0 is newer than that no? Is it possible to import from MT now, or not yet? Couldn’t find any definite info on it… Thx!
The MT-to-WP importer is indeed in 1.0, and it works beautifully. 🙂

It is there now. I used it today, and it worked like a charm !

I’m glad to hear the importer works, but where is it? I can’t find it in the admin panel anywhere.
