Hey. We have members segregated by labels to differentiate what class they are in. Certain classes have access to different pages and putting [memberonly label=”CITFALL2014″,”CITSPRING2015″] on the landing page of the 2 classes was previously not allowing anyone that wasn’t in either of the classes to logon. Now everyone can for some reason. Do you know what could have gone wrong?

Hi zachstache! There should be no quotation marks between the label names, ie. the shortcode should be:

    [memberonly label=”CITFALL2014,CITSPRING2015″]

Okay. I changed that, but it is still letting me onto the page while I’m logged out.

Hi zachstache! You probably have some hidden HTML formatting inside the shortcode. Delete the shortcode, and type in the entire shortcode again manually (do not copy and paste). Alternatively switch to the “Text” mode editor and make sure there are no HTML tags within the shortcode.

That didn’t seem to work either.

Hi zachstache! Please check the following:

    1. Are you logged in as a WordPress administrator? You need to use a browser where you are not logged into WordPress and not logged into MemberFindMe for testing.

    2. Are you using a visual editor of some sort? Try erasing and entering the shortcode manually in the “Text” mode editor.

    3. Is the content you are trying to protect the content of the page, or is it a widgetized area/sidebar? Only the page content can be protected

If none of these is the issue, please email us the URL to your site and a WordPress admin login (with the ability to edit plugins) to admin@memberfind.me so we can diagnose the issue.

Hi zachstache! We received the login credentials but do not know the URL of the site to login to?

    Sorry. Hudsoninstitute.com

Hi zachstache! Attempting to login via wp-login with those credentials gives an incorrect username or password error. Is this a WordPress admin login?

Hi zachstache! It appears you are using have the MemberFindMe Login Connector plugin disabled. That plugin is required to use the memberonly shortcode.

We had the memberfindme connector plugin turned off because it was sending our users erroneous emails saying that their passwords had changed. Turning it back on fixed the problem we were having before of allowing everyone onto the member only pages. Do you know why the connector plugin would be sending the erroneous emails?

Hi zachstache! If you turn the plugin back on we can try to diagnose that issue instead.

    It’s turned on now

Hi zachstache! We created a test member account and did not receive any password change notification emails when we logged in/out. Can you check if you are still receiving those emails with MemberFindMe Login Connector version 3.8.1?

I fixed the CHI Coach Community page which had incorrectly entered member only shortcodes. There should be only 1 memberonly shortcode on the page. Instead of:

    [memberonly nonmember-redirect=”http://hudsoninstitute.com/member-login-page/”%5D [memberonly label=”CITFALL2014″,”CITSPRING2015″]

the correct shortcode to use should be:

    [memberonly label=”CITFALL2014,CITSPRING2015″ nonmember-redirect=”http://hudsoninstitute.com/member-login-page/”%5D
