Marker cannot be added or edited

I have a client site with a simple map showing the location of the client’s office. The client moved and I tried to update the map to the new address. The plugin would not let me edit the marker. Ultimately I deleted the map, uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, and attempted to start over. But now I can’t add a marker at all when I try to make a new map.
I got an error message saying that the map (next to the “add marker” box) wouldn’t load because of a potential Javascript problem or conflict with another plugin. I tried disabling all the other plugins one by one but nothing helped.
I actually have the Pro add-on, but I submitted a support request in the Support Forum 3 or 4 days ago and I’ve gotten no reply. In any event, this appears to be a problem with the basic plugin, because it happens even when the Pro add-on is deactivated.
