make order number field optional

Hi,

I found that the following code does not make the order number field optional (as proposed in https://getawesomesupport.com/documentation/woocommerce/):

add_filter( 'awesome_support_woocommerce_order_general_field', '__return_true' );

Any help to make the field optional would be appreciated.
