    Well, sorry if my topic is in the wrong place. I’m in a major rush here. Anyway i have just received hosting. I’ve installed wordpress before, but never as a homepage. The blogis going to be my main focus of my site. I have ftp. I need a tutorial on how to install it as a homepage.

    you don’t set a directory in the wp-config.php file.
    You specifiy database information.

    So, configure a database and put the dang thing in that root directory that your FTP client places you in.

    Or do what my earlier post suggested.

    Or contact your host.

    I’m not sure why you’re so worried about not having content and sub-directories at a new host.
