I had a problem viewing my blog’s stats and was asked to disconnect Jetpack from WordPress.com then re-connect.

On re-connecting over 3 years worth of stats have disappeared and have started again at zero.

I also have 2 blog ids now. At WordPress.com using the old ID I’m told that the API key is not compatible with the old blog id.

Any help would be appreciated. My blog is http://www.tech-otaku.com.

    Many thanks, Steve.

It now appears I have access to the stats under my old blog ID and I can force Jetpack to connect to this ID by entering it directly in the jetpack_options and stats_options fields of the wp_options table.

However, when I disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com it connects under the new blog ID.

Over at WordPress.com I have two tech-otaku.com blogs listed: one for the old ID and one for the new ID.

Still looking for some resolution on this.

    Many thanks, Steve.

    Hi,

I’ve fixed this for you. You should disconnect and reconnect Jetpack. You must have changed your site’s URL at some point in the past, and then disconnected and reconnected Jetpack. This caused it to think it was connecting to a new site. You’ve lost a few day’s worth, but otherwise, it should all be good now.

    Thanks Richard,

Yeah, I accidentally connected a copy of my site through localhost. All’s working now.

    Steve.
