We edited our Hustle Pop-up a couple weeks ago, and when we did, we lost all of the emails that had previously subscribed (~30 email IDs). Why did this happen? Is there a way to access an archive of email subscribers, or versioning of the pop-up? Any other ideas to get these back? Thanks!

    Hey @caitlinvogyr,

    Hope you’re well.

I tested that on my side but couldn’t replicate it. Can you explain what did you change while editing popup? So I can do the exact same steps to replicate it. Also, we have a report about updating to 6.0 causing lost on local email addresses. Is that can be related?

I mean are you sure its lost when you did changes or is it possible to lost email addresses when you update Hustle?

    Cheers,
    Oguz

Thanks for the quick reply, Oguz. I just checked, and we are operating on Hustle version 6.0. So, it is very possible that we lost the email addresses when we Hustle was updated. If this is the cause, is there a way to get these email addresses back?

For editing the pop-up, we simply changed the text of the Pop-up titles, then clicked saved. We did not notice that the emails were gone until recently. We cannot replicate the issue either.

    Appreciate your help.

    Hey @caitlinvogyr,

    Hope you’re well.

At the current version of Hustle, there is no way, our developers working on fix, it will be fixed at next version. We are close to next update so I hope it will not take much time to wait. After the update, if not resolved you can update this thread.

    Cheers,

    Hi Oguz,

Just to be clear, you mean that there is no way to recover the lost emails?

    Hey @caitlinvogyr,

    Hope you’re well, today.

    At the current version there is no easy way but when new version available you can recover the lost emails. If you need to get those emails immediately, you can try this way;
1-Be sure you have a full backup before doing this.
    2-Install “WP Rollback” plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/
    3-Activate it and press Rollback button of Hustle from plugins page;

4-Choose 5.1.5 version and rollback it. After rollback, you can see the error just ignore it and try to reach wp-admin from scratch.
5-Then go to Hustle > Email Opt-ins from old Hustle and you can see old mails there.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Oguz,

Thanks. One more clarifying question– if we wait for the new version of Hustle, will the lost emails from version 5.1.5 be there? Or, will it only be archiving emails going forward?

If the former, we’ll wait for the new version.

    Hey @caitlinvogyr,

    Hope you’re well.

After the new update, it can need to migrate again with going to reset migration URL. But because of old emails keeping on the different table, it shouldn’t delete and it should be there.

But just to be more comfortable you can just backup your database. If anything happens the live database you can always revert back your backup.

    Hi Oguz,

I wanted to check back in. When will the new version of Hustle be available correcting this issue?

    Thanks,

    Hey there @caitlinvogyr

this should be already resolved in latest version (6.0.1)
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popup/#developers

Please do update to 6.0.1 and then visit the following URL:
    http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=hustle&reset_migration=1

This will pull over all optins/custom content/social sharing modules again.

Prior to updating and using the migration URL, please do keep a full website data (files and database).

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
