Hey @awanderer1,
Updating to 4.0.0 or higher does not affect your old data in any way, so you should have been able to revert back to 3.7.x without any issues.
Your data should still be in the post meta table. I’d recommend that you take a look and search for post meta records that start with the “aioseop_” prefix.
Let me know what your findings are.

As with the other posters, I lost all the data on my posts such as titles and descriptions. My site is 11 years old with hundreds of posts.
Is there anything I can do to retrieve it? Please help!

Thanks but it’s asking me to Login (i don’t have a login) or get the premium plugin. I was using the free version of the plugin.
@awanderer1 You don’t need to log in if you click the “Submit a Form” button.
Maybe it is due to my deprecated browser, but when I click ‘submit a ticket’ it takes me to another page: ‘https://aioseo.com/docs/’
and when i click ‘submit a ticket’ on that page it redirects me to: https://aioseo.com/login/?redirect_to=%2Faccount%2Fsupport%2F
where it wants me to login or ‘Get AIOSEO’ or ‘Get WPForms’ with no other options.
Please help
when i search my site it in google it appears like this:
#site_title #post_title – Wander Argentina
@awanderer1 you downgraded to the 3.7.1 which I can’t provide support. In any case, you need to click the “Complete a Form” button on the right, not the “Submit a Ticket” button.
Hi — Yes I upgraded because it was better before. How can you not support the last version of your plugin?
Your representative was very nice but due to communicating with various people, he reinstalled the latest update, because he didn’t realize this is not what I wanted.
He wrote, “There are many reasons why traffic can drop but it’s unlikely to be caused by an SEO plugin. SEO is all about how content is optimized so that search engines can index it and display it in search results.”
So he is claiming that all the optimized SEO data being wiped out and it suddenly appearing as “#site_title #post_title – Wander Argentina” on google did not cause any issue with search results?
He then continued, “if you think there’s a problem with your traffic then drill down into your traffic reports in Google Analytics to see how traffic changes from the various sources over time.
If you think there’s a problem with your SEO then drill down into the reports in Google Search Console because that’s where Google tells you if something is wrong or needs improving and gives you ample time to rectify the problem before it affects how your site appears on Google.”
I’ve been a blogger for eleven years full time. I’m no tech whiz by why the Google 101? I feel like this product was redesigned to appeal to beginners with the latest rollout.
Are you guys taking the sudden spike in negative reviews into consideration?
