• Hi,

We’ve noticed that our rotating tweets plugin throws out old tweets every couple of days or so and then rotates only through one latest tweet. Is this normal behaviour? How long does it keep tweets for? And is there any way we can make it keep older tweets so that we always have a bit of a variety showing?

    Kind thanks.

    This doesn’t sound good.

What sort of widget or shortcode is this?

Is this a search one? Or one that pulls in multiple accounts? Or something else altogether?

    The shortcode looks as follows.
    [rotatingtweets screen_name=’#####’ include_rts=’1′ tweet_count=’15’ exclude_replies=’1′]

It looks like a straightforward shortcode to me, I am not 100% sure what else may be going on as we inherited the website from another developer.

It doesn’t seem to be pulling in data from multiple accounts(only one screen name present. Unless I understand that incorrectly.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That should work. It’s extremely hard to assess the problem without seeing the site or the screen name…

Does it have a significant number of tweets? Are you using complex alphabetical characters or emojis? And do you have the latest version? And do you happen to know what character encoding your site uses?

Do any error messages appear in the HTML source when you have the problem?
